Daily summary email
- The server can now email a daily summary of inspection activity: inspections, entries, pass and fail counts and the pass rate for the day, broken down by part and by user. It goes out once a day at a time you choose, in the time zone you choose, and covers the 24 hours ending at that time. Days with no inspections are skipped. Set it up in Settings → Email → Daily Summary, with its own recipient list
- Email language in Settings → Email chooses the language of the daily summary, inspection notification and test emails (all thirteen interface languages). Password reset emails follow the user’s browser language, as before
- Send Now in the summary settings mails the most recent summary to one address (an empty day included) so you can check it before enabling the schedule. Enabling arms the schedule: the first summary goes out at the next send time, never immediately
- A server that was off at the send time sends one summary when it is back, for the most recent period only
- Inspection notification emails are now localized and use the product’s terms: counts are written label-style and the person who ran an inspection is the User, as on the Reports page
- Email subjects and sender names with non-ASCII characters are now encoded as mail standards require, so a localized subject arrives intact through strict relays instead of as question marks
Reports
- HTML/PDF reports can now name each location on the part pictures, next to its decision dot, laid out as in the template editor. With names on, the pictures are shown about twice as large so the names stay readable. Off by default; turn it on under Settings → Report Settings → Location names on pictures
- The Last 24 Hours, Last 7 Days and Last 30 Days figures on the Reports overview were counted by comparing timestamps as text on SQLite, so an inspection recorded under a different UTC offset could fall on the wrong side of the period boundary. They are now compared by instant on every database
Templates
- Mouse-wheel zoom on part pictures is smoother. A fast spin of the wheel no longer skips steps, the point under the cursor stays put while zooming, and labels settle once at the end of the movement instead of jumping at every notch
- Right-clicking a label or a weld point while a zoom is still animating now opens the menu for the one under the cursor
- The menu opened by right-clicking a label or a weld point just after a spot was added or removed on the same picture could name the wrong spot. It now always names the one under the cursor
Fixes
- The configuration dialogs under Settings (email server, notifications, daily summary, webhooks, reports) scroll their content on a short window instead of pushing their buttons off screen
Documentation
- Application note 1005 covers the Daily Summary Email and the Email language setting

EXE • 39.79 MB
Windows service
- The service no longer fails to start after an upgrade on a large database. Windows ends a service that has not answered within 30 seconds, and the database update on first start could take longer, so the service was stopped mid-update on every attempt (event 7009). The service now answers Windows first and updates the databases afterwards. It shows as Starting for as long as the update takes, and as Running once the web interface is reachable
- A service that cannot start — a database it cannot open, or a port already in use — now stops and reports the error to Windows instead of showing as running with nothing listening
Installer
- Upgrading a server that keeps its data in PostgreSQL or SQL Server no longer adds a local SQLite database when its configuration file lacks a database setting such as
UNISON_DATABASES_DEVICES. The installer names the missing setting, asks you to confirm before it continues, and leaves it for you to add. The server does not start until it is set, and the last screen says so instead of reporting the service as running - An upgrade or reinstall that finished very quickly could end on "elevated worker exited without result" although it had succeeded. It now completes normally
- French and Italian installer text uses typographic apostrophes throughout
Documentation
- Application note 1001 covers upgrading an installation on PostgreSQL or SQL Server whose configuration file lacks a database setting
Templates
- A part picture uploaded as a photo with a rotation flag (typical for phone photos) is now stored upright. Before, the inspection report could show it on its side or with the decision dots off their welds, and its thumbnail had the wrong shape. Pictures uploaded before this version are not changed; upload them again to correct them
Inspections
- Reprocessing a measurement can be run as a preview that stores nothing, and a unit can pass its fine tuning values (edge offset and shape fit) with it. The server itself does not accept fine-tuning values
- Reprocessing a laser weld measurement no longer drops its outer diameter, and a reprocess that finds no shape clears the stored size instead of keeping the previous one
- A measurement's thumbnail is refreshed after the measurement is reprocessed
- A tall part picture in a printed inspection report now stays on one page with its decision dots in place. Before, it could leave an empty frame on one page and run into the inspection cards on the next
Inspection notifications
- Email notifications can now cover all imported inspections, not only those with failures. In Settings → Email, click Configure next to Inspection Notifications (formerly Failed-Inspection Notifications) and choose under Send for. The default is unchanged: only inspections with failures
- With all inspections selected, each inspection is emailed once, the first time it is imported, and an email about a single inspection names its part and serial number in the subject, with the number of failed entries when it has any
- Notification emails list the inspection’s serial number
Translations
- Pass and Fail now use one term per language everywhere a decision is shown: the decision buttons, the inspection summary, the Reports pages and the exported reports. Spanish, French and Italian change the most (Aprobado / Reprobado, Conforme / Non conforme); German, Russian, Korean, Thai, Portuguese and Chinese had a different word on a few Reports labels
- Simplified and Traditional Chinese use one word for inspection throughout
Users and permissions
- New permission Change Unit Fine Tuning (
unit.tuning.edit): save fine-tuning values on a unit and apply them to stored measurements. The Advanced Operators group carries it; owners and admins have it through their role - Units pick the new permission up at their next credential sync after the server is upgraded. A unit that takes its credentials by USB needs a newly exported package

Reports
- Find a location by name from the search box on Reports → Parts, without opening its part first. Matches are listed with their part's path
- Export a location's readings to Excel for the selected date range: one row per reading, with the date, part, serial number, size and decision. Entries with no measured size are included, and dates are real Excel dates you can filter and chart
- Inspections of a composite part now count toward each base part it covers. Before, they were left out of the part and location reports, so part and location figures can rise after the upgrade
- Report days follow your own time zone rather than UTC: "Last month" is the month where you are, and the daily charts, the calendar badges and the export's timestamps put an inspection on your day, daylight saving included
- The size chart spaces readings by real time and places each at its inspection's time, so every point falls inside the chosen range; long ranges keep only the failed and undecided readings as dots, so they stay readable
- A part's folder path follows the template as it is now. A base part only ever inspected as part of a composite shows its own path, and a part moved to another folder shows the new one
- A part or location renamed within the selected range is shown once instead of twice
- The location view shows the number of entries next to the number of measurements; the pass rate counts entries
- The part and location reports open much faster on servers with many template locations, where every request used to take seconds whatever the date range. SQLite servers also read only the selected range's entries rather than all of them
- An empty list says when the date range is the reason — "No inspection data in the selected date range" — instead of reading as a search that found nothing
- The first start after upgrading builds one more database index, which can take a while on a large inspection database
Projection welds
- Projection welds are measured as projection welds. A sheet welded to a nut, bolt or stud has no second sheet behind it, and the spot-weld measurement used to report a stack thickness and an indentation for it that meant nothing. Units on Auditor 0.10.7 measure them with their own method, which reports size only
- Inspection cards, the measurement view and reports show size only for a projection weld location, with the front plate as its stack. This also applies to projection welds measured before the change: their old indentation and stack values are no longer shown against requirements or printed in reports
- An Excel report of projection welds only has no indentation or stack column. A report that mixes them with spot welds keeps both, and leaves them blank on the projection weld rows
- Indentation and thickness requirements are ignored on a projection weld location, and hidden in the template editor when only projection welds are selected. Values already stored are kept
- Calculate Requirements covers projection welds: minimum size from the front plate alone. Flip Stack leaves them alone
- Upgrade the server before the units. A server older than this shows no indicators for a measurement taken as a projection weld and cannot reprocess it; nothing is lost, and it reads correctly after the upgrade
Measurement
- A deep electrode imprint no longer hides the weld. On a thin sheet over a thick stack the electrode can press in deeper than the measurement used to accept, and such a weld was drawn gray in the middle with no size.
Inspections
- Search covers every inspection on the server — part, serial number and comments — not only the newest 200 on screen. When more match than are listed, the page says how many
- Inspections of a composite part show the composite part's name on their card, in the info dialog, in exports and in failure emails, instead of a blank
- The calendar counts and lists each day in your time zone
Fixes
- Every search box has a clear button once you type, and Escape clears it. Several had neither
- French: a measurement slot is now "créneau" everywhere, instead of sharing "emplacement" with a location
Documentation
- Application note 1040 covers projection welds in the location properties and in Calculate Requirements
- Application note 1050 explains the Inspections search and how to follow one location across inspections and export it
- Application note 1060 covers the location export, the
qsearch andtztime zone parameters, report dates at your own midnight, and composite inspections in the reports

Also includes the 0.12.8 changes: units try a secure connection first, and an https:// address under Server Addresses is no longer hidden.
Audit
- Actions that change the server are recorded as audit events: who did it, when, and from where. Sign-ins, configuration changes, backups and restores, device and pairing decisions, and log downloads are covered
- Audit events can be kept in their own file, retained for 400 days by default and separate from the operational log. The Windows installer and the Docker image turn it on
- The server warns at startup when its logging settings would let audit events go unrecorded
- When a log-forwarding sink drops events because the collector is unreachable, it is now recorded in the log itself, naming the sink and how many were lost. A central collector can be set to alert on it; previously the notice went only to standard error
Security
- Repeated failed sign-ins lock the account for 30 minutes by default, however the person was named — by username or by email. The count and the duration can be changed; application note 1002 explains how
- A unit must present its device token to fetch the credential package. Revoking a unit now stops it
- Sign-in fields no longer invite browser autofill
- The server no longer gives units an
http://address of its own. Addresses are sent without http or https in front, so a unit tries a secure connection first - An
https://address you add under Server Addresses is no longer hidden by the same address the server found on its own - The access log records whether each request arrived securely. A unit that reached the server without encryption can be found
Users
- PIN minimum length is an organisation setting, from 4 to 10 digits. Existing PINs keep working until it is raised
- Operators can sign in on a unit with their email address when the server shares addresses with units. The old identification-method setting becomes one switch, Email disclosure; current settings carry over and no re-export is needed
- Where one person's username is another's email address, sign-in resolves to the username, every time, on the server and on units
Fixes
- The inspection database upgrade no longer fails on leftover export records — the fault that kept updated units from starting
- A unit's connection test shows the real server version instead of 1.0.0
- Creating a user with an invalid PIN says so, rather than reporting a generic error
- The Settings page lists the acquisition and processing library versions built into the server
Documentation
- Application note 1008 (log aggregation) covers the audit events, what is not yet audited, and forwarding them to Microsoft Sentinel
- Application note 1002 and the configuration reference cover the audit file, the sign-in lockout and Email disclosure
- Application note 1007 explains how a unit can end up on an insecure connection after a certificate problem, and the setting on the unit that forbids that
- Application notes 1002, 1005, 1006 and 1020 say what writing
https://on a server address actually does, and 1020 gains a troubleshooting entry for a unit that is online but not using a secure connection - Application note 1030 no longer says revision history records who made a change; the audit events do
- Application note 1060 points integrators at the model endpoint for change polling
- The configuration reference no longer lists encryption options the server never had

Session Lock
- The web UI can lock after a period of inactivity. A countdown offers to stay signed in; entering the password returns you to where you were
- Off by default — application note 1002 explains how to enable it
Synchronization
- A synced inspection shows how many locations were actually measured, so an abandoned inspection no longer looks finished
- The inspection card shows a badge for locations never measured
- A location can no longer appear twice in an inspection
Templates
- Import offers Merge, Replace or Skip for each part that changes; matching parts are counted, not listed
- Typing into a numeric field no longer loses the first digit
- Locations without a route are listed in natural order (E2 before E10), as on the device
Device Logs
- Device logs can be read on the server, not only downloaded — including installer, kiosk and older compressed logs
Documentation
- Application note 1040 (managing templates) covers Calculate Requirements and is linked from the dialog
- Application note 1002 covers sessions and tokens, including the idle lock

Owner Recovery
- If every owner password is lost and nobody can reach the host, call Crafted. They walk you through creating a new owner with a one-time firecall code
- Firecall creates a new owner. It does not reset an existing account
Template Import
- Reviewing a large import is now practical: select several parts at once, filter to the ones that change, and Recalculate when the figures on screen are out of date
Backup, Restore & Export
- Progress is now translated, and shows elapsed time
- The progress bar no longer jumps backwards during a long job
Documentation
- Application notes 1010 (users, roles, permissions) and 1007 (IT deployment) cover lost-owner recovery, including firecall
- Application note 1040 (managing templates) matches the import review as it now works

EXE • 38.84 MB
Inspection Upload
- Uploading an inspection from the browser now works. It previously failed on any server with units paired, and reported a network problem rather than the real cause
- A failed upload is no longer retried automatically, so one failure no longer produces a run of identical errors
- When a connection drops mid-upload, the message points at a proxy or gateway size limit instead of the operator's internet connection
- Large uploads no longer grow server memory with the size of the file
- An upload too large for the free disk space is refused up front
- Inspections the server refused are now listed, not just counted
Template Import
- Import a whole template project from a
.tmpl-revpackage or a legacy XML - Review the import part by part before anything is applied, resolving each conflict on its own
- The preview reports how many images the import carries
- Large files upload in chunks with progress, the way backups do
- Found in Configuration → Maintenance on the Templates card, and requires the Owner role
- Every import is recorded in the audit log, successful or not
- A server can also import from a directory on the server itself, once a deployment configures which directories are permitted
Reports
- The Excel export is now translated — headings, columns and the statistics row
- Dates follow the reader's language instead of appearing in a foreign format
- A label can no longer be translated in the HTML report and left in English in the workbook
- Each export records the language it was produced in
Languages
- Turkish joins the language picker, bringing the total to fifteen
Calibration
- The step-block sample is now named 1018 steel, correcting a name that disagreed with the velocity it carried.
Error Messages
- Messages are written for the operator; the technical detail stays in the log
- Every error carries a reference that matches the server log, so a reported failure can be traced
- A failed import now says whether retrying will help
- A deleted picture is no longer reported the same way as a database that could not answer
Diagnostics
- When an upload fails, the log now records enough to identify the cause without needing the file
- A dropped connection is no longer logged as a disk failure, and an import in which every row failed is no longer logged as a success
Documentation
- New application note on the proxy size limit that silently rejects large unit uploads
- The template import is documented end to end, including what a merge does to an existing project

Unit Synchronization
- Units send only what the server is missing instead of repeating whole uploads. Takes effect once units are updated
- Large uploads no longer spike server memory
- Overlapping uploads from one unit no longer collide
Unit Logs
- Read a paired unit's log files from the server while it is online, without visiting it — open Devices, select the unit, and choose View Logs
- Covers the unit's application log and its rotated backups, plus the installer, updater and kiosk-mode logs that explain a unit which failed to update or never finished installing
- The same viewer, filters and search already used for the server's own logs
- Compressed backups and the plain-text installer and kiosk-mode logs are offered for download rather than paged browsing, and are marked accordingly
- Requires the Admin or Owner role. Takes effect once units are updated; a unit on older software shows the version it is running instead
- A unit holds a connection only while the viewer is open, so units nobody is looking at are unaffected
- Read-only — the remote viewer cannot clear or rotate a unit's logs
Inspection Export
- Exporting an inspection to
.inspno longer exhausts memory on small servers - Export shows progress while the package is prepared, then hands the file to the browser's download manager instead of buffering it a second time
- Exporting and importing the same inspection at once is now prevented — it could previously produce a package silently missing measurement data
- Export progress and result messages are translated in every supported language
Failed-Inspection Notifications
- A failing inspection produces one notification, not one per upload, so a re-sent inspection no longer generates duplicate emails
- Delivery is recorded, so this survives a server restart and covers USB imports; a notification that reaches nobody is retried on a later import
- Mail sends are bounded end to end, and every failed send is logged rather than dropped silently
Security
- Device tokens can be set to expire after a period without use, so a token from a lost unit stops working on its own. Off by default
Memory and Storage
- The database memory budget scales to the machine instead of assuming a workstation
- The write-ahead log is bounded and returns disk space after a large operation
Records
- Inspections and measurements now show who created them; a user saved without explicit initials previously left the creator blank
Languages
- Two new languages: English (UK) and Portuguese (Brazil), selectable in the language picker alongside the existing twelve
- Portuguese is now consistently European Portuguese, with Brazilian Portuguese offered as its own choice. The two were previously mixed together in one list, so a reader of either variant met the other's wording partway through a screen
- Weld terminology now matches between the server and the unit. The verdict an operator records, and the part, route and plate it belongs to, read the same in both places
- Text that was still appearing in English inside a translated interface has been translated, across every language
Documentation
- 45 in-application documentation links added, including notes that had no entry point and a page-level link from the template editor. Documentation is now reachable in historical-epoch mode
- New guidance on memory and disk requirements for server deployments
- Application note 1005 corrects the reverse-proxy sample for large unit uploads
- The API reference documents the two-phase inspection export, and the devices endpoints match what the server serves
- The API reference covers the remote unit log endpoints and the metadata units report on each check-in
- Application notes 1008 and 1020 cover reading a unit's logs from the server, including which log files are available and which are download-only
Diagnostics
- Debug logging is quieter — per-step "extracted successfully" entries are gone

Integrations
- New Integrations tab in Configuration (administrators and owners): issue API keys so an MES, ERP, or quality system can read inspection data over the server's HTTP API instead of using a shared human login
- A key's token is shown once when it is created, with a copy button; keys can be given an optional expiry, and revoked, restored, or deleted at any time — the list shows each key's status and when it was last used
- Keys are read-only and scoped to viewing inspections: they cannot create, change, or delete anything, and can never manage users, change configuration, take backups, or manage other keys
- New owner-only Webhooks section in Configuration → Settings: the server can call up to two of your own endpoints when an inspection is imported or deleted, so a receiving system reacts without waiting for its next poll
- Each webhook delivery carries a timestamp and an HMAC-SHA256 signature covering that timestamp and the payload, so a receiver can confirm the call came from your server and is recent; failed deliveries are retried with backoff
- The server now publishes its own API reference at
/openapi/, so the specifications always match the installed version rather than being distributed separately — and the specifications themselves were corrected, including a wrong base path and endpoints that were listed but never existed
Inspections
- The inspections API gained filters for changed since, created between, mode, sealed state, and serial number — enough for an external system to ask for only what changed since its last run
- New single-call document export returns a whole inspection — entries, measurements, and pictures — as one JSON document, with images and measurement data referenced by URL rather than embedded
- Deleting a single inspection now updates other open browser sessions immediately, as bulk cleanup already did
- Paging through the inspection list is now stable when several inspections share a timestamp — a batch arriving from a unit is written within a single clock tick, which could previously cause a row to repeat or be skipped between pages
Documentation
- New application note 1060 — External System Integration: choosing between polling and webhooks, issuing and rotating API keys, reading inspections and statistics, and verifying webhook signatures
- Application note 1007 (IT deployment) notes that outbound webhooks are the only case where the server initiates a connection to a customer system, which firewall reviews need to account for
- Application note 1010 (users, roles, permissions) gained an API Keys section describing how a machine credential differs from a user account
Diagnostics
- Deleting an inspection is now recorded in the server log alongside the existing entries

Database Backup & Restore
- Restoring a Templates backup fixed — a backup downloaded from the server was rejected before upload with "this does not look like a backup of the Templates Database", because the file check in the browser did not recognize the marker that current backups carry
- Templates backups made by older server versions are still accepted, and picking a Templates backup in the wrong domain now says so by name instead of reporting an unrecognized file

Documentation
- The Maintenance tab and the Restore dialog now link directly to application note 1009 — Database Backup & Restore, so operators can open the matching help topic from the UI
- Application notes 1003 (PostgreSQL) and 1004 (SQL Server) no longer point at separate "migration tooling" — moving Templates, Inspections, and Users from SQLite to another engine is done through the owner Maintenance tab (see 1009)
- SQL Server setup (1004) and the backup note (1009) now document
ALLOW_SNAPSHOT_ISOLATION, which is needed for consistent web-UI backups on that engine

Reports
- New Reports area with an overview dashboard that summarizes inspection activity at a glance
- By-category report with a per-part breakdown
- Calibration report and user-activity charts
- Robot "recent inspections" list now shows the folder path and timestamp, with one-click jump to the inspection
- Size-over-time charts gained rich tooltips with C-scan thumbnails and jump-to-inspection
- Measurement details can be opened in a popout — either a modal or a detachable window
- Detection of foreign parts (parts that aren't in the current template package)
- Part-graphics gallery with decision-colored dot overlays
- Consistent decision colors and vocabulary across every chart and report
- HTML reports are localized across all supported languages
- New owner-only Report Settings that standardize exported reports across the server: add a company logo to the first page and show the full part path (folder breadcrumb) on every report
- C-scan images in Excel exports — embed each measurement's C-scan image directly in the spreadsheet, with a choice of regular or large size (or off)
- Part pictures in HTML/PDF reports are now controlled centrally — whether they appear, placed before or after the report, and at what size
- HTML report part graphics can be hidden, shown at the beginning, or shown at the end
- Composite categories: the by-category report and its statistics now treat a location's combined categories as a set, so a location tagged with several categories is counted under each one
- The by-category report gained totals, a search box, a clear "not found" state, and a per-category decision trend over time
- Overview inspection-trend charts now share a single vertical scale across the two weeks, show one decision-color legend, and note that they reflect the most recent weeks with activity
Inspections
- Pop an inspection out into its own window to view it alongside other work
- Free-text search across part caption, serial number, and comments, working alongside the existing type and algorithm filters
Device Synchronization
- Large inspection uploads from units are now handled far more robustly on slow or congested networks: transfers abandoned mid-upload no longer occupy the server, and a unit's retries no longer queue behind them — so a struggling unit catches up instead of falling further behind
- Inspection uploads are now always attributed to the sending unit, and per-unit sync statistics are recorded reliably even when the connection drops at the end of a long transfer
- A USB package imported through the browser now completes even if the browser disconnects right after the upload finishes — a fully received package is never silently discarded
Templates
- Snappier tab switching in the part editor
- Right-click menus in the template editor now open at the pointer and no longer jump or close unexpectedly
- Composite categories: a location can carry several categories at once, handled consistently across the editors, the location importer, and reports
- New Advanced Actions dialog auto-calculates weld requirements (size, indent, thickness) for spot and Arplas welds and remembers your last-used inputs
- Added Arplas Weld and Projection weld support, with standardized weld labels across the application
- Free mode can override the number of slots per location instead of always using the per-algorithm default
- The template material list now matches the auditor inspection flow — a single, fully translated shared list
- Mouse-wheel zoom (anchored at the cursor) in the image-details preview, and consistent toolbar tooltips
- Fixed a spot-delete right-click action that could silently do nothing
History
- Filter the activity timeline by action category (parts, groups, locations, routes, spots, pictures, decisions, categories, QR), each shown with its count
- Each timeline entry now shows its details inline — the affected item, its parent, and any renamed values — instead of only on hover, loaded through a faster batch lookup
Email Notifications
- Optional email when an inspection containing failures is imported
- All email is now grouped behind a single master "Send emails" toggle in Settings
- The SMTP connection Test now reports specific, actionable errors (authentication, TLS, host not found, timeout, connection refused) with guidance, and shows provider-specific username hints for token-based services (Resend, SendGrid, Postmark)
- Corrected TLS handling: provider presets now pair port 587 with STARTTLS so Gmail, Outlook/Microsoft 365, SendGrid, Postmark, Mailgun, and Amazon SES connect successfully; port 465 uses implicit TLS
- Credentials are now sent only over an encrypted connection; internal relays that authorize by IP — including those presenting a self-signed certificate — remain supported
- Microsoft 365 / Office 365 and corporate relays now authenticate successfully: the server uses whichever standard sign-in method the mail host offers (LOGIN or PLAIN) instead of attempting only one
- Stray spaces around the SMTP host, username, or sender address — easy to introduce when copy-pasting — are now trimmed automatically, instead of failing with a confusing "host not found"
- Clearer setup feedback: the connection Test states plainly when no mail host is configured, and flags the common mistake of pairing implicit TLS with a STARTTLS port (or vice-versa)
Database Backup & Restore
- New Maintenance tab in Configuration (owner only): download and restore full backups of the Templates, Inspections, and Users databases from the web UI, with live progress through every phase — preparation, upload, validation, and restore
- Clear restore phases with weighted progress that keeps moving during long silent stages
- Backup files are checked up front (preflight) before a large upload starts
- Maintenance cards show data freshness (when domain data last changed), not the time of the status request
- Backup downloads stream through the browser's own download manager and restores upload straight from disk, so multi-GB databases no longer require matching amounts of memory anywhere in the chain (the desktop converter also streams now, and its old 2 GB restore limit is gone)
- Interrupted backup downloads can resume where they left off
- Incomplete chunked restore uploads can be resumed after a failed or busy complete, instead of forcing a full re-upload
- Inspections restore is substantially faster on SQLite and more reliable on SQL Server
- Backup download and restore no longer overlap in a way that can snapshot a half-restored database
- Long restores now report real percentages table-by-table instead of going silent for minutes
Permissions & Access Control
- Compatibility note: database backup and restore now requires the owner role. Admin accounts — including admins using the desktop converter — no longer have access to backup endpoints and will receive a clear "Backup and restore require the owner role" error
- Hardened role-based permissions across the application
- Uploading and deleting entry pictures now respects inspection ownership
- Deactivated accounts are rejected by authentication and can no longer use an existing session
Diagnostics
- Access logs now record which auditor app version each connected unit is running, making support investigations easier
- Successful health-check probes are no longer access-logged, reducing log noise
- Information tab shows live database storage statistics (size and volume details per database)
Documentation
- New application note 1009 — Database Backup & Restore: downloading, restoring, and operating the Maintenance tab
- New application note 1050 — Browsing & Synchronizing Inspections: browsing, reviewing, exporting, and cleaning up inspections on the server, and how inspections sync from devices
- A25 hardware manual gained a remote control section
- Application notes refreshed against the current release: password-policy defaults, permission catalog, laser weld (OD) template options, and report settings
Installer
- Fixed a spurious error that could appear after a successful uninstall
Maintenance
- Dependency and toolchain updates for improved security

Log Aggregation
- Send server logs to Splunk, Datadog, Loki, or any HTTPS endpoint directly, with no extra forwarder to install. Configured through environment variables — see the new application note for details
- When the server runs as a Windows service or in Docker, logs default to a machine-readable format that log aggregators can ingest without extra setup. Interactive terminals keep the familiar colored output
- New application note covering log aggregation, including a field reference and integration examples
Error Messages
- Error messages returned by the server are now translated into every supported language and shown consistently across dialogs and notifications
- Responses no longer expose raw internal error details, so messages stay clear and consistent for both operators and connected units
Database
- More reliable startup against Microsoft SQL Server, including automatic setup of the shared database on first run
- Broader database engine coverage in testing to catch edge cases before release
Sync
- Template downloads on slow or unreliable connections are more resilient, and interrupted transfers no longer have to start over from the beginning
- Various smaller improvements to inspection and template sync reliability
Diagnostics
- Server logs include more context on each request, making it easier for support to investigate sync issues from a single log file
- Improved diagnostics around occasional pairing failures

Pairing & Connectivity
- The server advertises its current network addresses, including live-detected ones, so connected devices can follow an address change instead of relying on a manually entered value that can go stale
- Pairing QR codes now include the server's current address — a newly set-up server produces a working QR with no manual address configuration
- Manually configured addresses are still honored and take priority, for reverse-proxy and fixed-hostname deployments

Backup & Restore
- Users and their permissions are now included in backups, with safety checks to prevent administrator lockout during a restore
- Choose how restored data merges with existing data (replace, append, or skip) when running a partial restore
- More reliable large-backup uploads — interrupted chunked sessions now resume correctly
- Restore now handles inspections that span multiple measurement types
Inspections
- C-scan exports (HTML, Excel) now use the correct spatial bias direction
- New display setting to toggle measurement units on the A-Scan ruler
Pairing
- Existing auditor apps connection/pairing issue fixed
Documentation
- Updated IT Deployment Overview, including a section on time synchronization between the server and connected units
- Refreshed server architecture documentation
