EXE • 28.67 MB
Installer
- An install or uninstall that finished very quickly could end on "elevated worker exited without result" although it had succeeded. It now completes normally
Inspection
- Fine tuning, opened from the setup drawer, adjusts how an algorithm processes a measurement: Edge offset moves the edge of the detected area in the C-scan outward or inward, and Shape fit fits a larger or smaller shape. The page previews the effect on the displayed measurement. Save for this algorithm applies the values to new measurements with that algorithm on the unit; Apply to this measurement only reprocesses the one on screen
- Laser welds keep their built-in edge offset (0.48 mm) until a different value is saved
- Fine tuning needs the new Change Unit Fine Tuning permission, which the Advanced Operators group carries; the unit owner and admins have it. Everyone else sees the values but cannot change them. Saving and applying are recorded in the unit's audit log
- A measurement in a finalized inspection can no longer be reprocessed, whether by fine tuning or by a manual shape; resume the inspection first
- The plate thickness sliders show the missing 3 on their scale
Translations
- Pass and Fail now use one term per language on the decision buttons, the toolbar, the close dialog and the inspection summary, matching Unison Server.

Projection welds
- Projection welds are measured as projection welds. A sheet welded to a nut, bolt or stud has no second sheet behind it, and the spot-weld measurement used for them until now reported a stack thickness and an indentation that meant nothing, and let a reflection from inside the fastener decide how the weld was drawn. They now have their own method
- The measurement shows size only, in a larger indicator. There is no indentation and no stack thickness for a projection weld
- The setup panel shows one plate. The middle and back plate of the last spot weld are kept for the next one and not used
- Setup learns the front plate thickness as it does for a spot weld, and the weld shape can be edited as before
- Indentation and thickness requirements on a projection weld location are ignored: no badge, no red value. Projection welds measured before this version keep their old figures on screen, without being checked against requirements
- Needs Unison Server 0.12.10 or later. An older server stores these measurements correctly but shows no indicators for them. Upgrade the server first
Measurement
- The specimen material set on the unit is now applied to the measurement. It used to fall back to steel whatever was selected, so depth figures on non-steel parts change: on aluminium, a front plate that read 0.91 mm reads about 0.85 mm, and indentation and stack thickness shift the same way. Sizes are not affected, and steel parts read as before
- A deep electrode imprint no longer hides the weld. On a thin sheet over a thick stack the electrode can press in deeper than the measurement used to accept, and such a weld was drawn gray in the middle with no size. When the imprint is as wide as an electrode and the echoes behind it confirm it, the weld is now shown and sized. The indentation reported for such a weld is an upper bound, because couplant filling the imprint adds to it
- Spot welds show fewer stray speckles inside the weld: the tail of the surface signal is no longer taken for an echo of its own, and an echo from behind the backwall no longer marks a point as unfused
Settings
- The stack thickness indicator setting for spot welds no longer lists projection welds, which have no stack thickness to show

Security
- The unit records audit events: sign-ins and failed sign-ins, owner-password and guest-access changes, credential packages imported or removed, backups and restores, inspections sealed or cleared, pairing and connection changes, upgrades and resets. They read the same way as the server's, and are kept in a log of their own for about a year
- Audit events are recorded even if logging is turned down. Nothing is sent anywhere new
- The owner password can only be tried three times in ten minutes
- The owner password must be at least 6 characters. The unit itself now checks this, not only the setup wizard
- Sign-in fields no longer invite autofill
- Other websites can no longer read the unit's status before anyone has signed in
- A server that used to be reached securely and is now not secure is refused. The unit will not connect without encryption
- If a secure connection fails, the unit tries again the next time it starts, instead of staying on the insecure address
- New Require HTTPS setting under Server Connection, off by default. With it on, the unit only connects when the connection is secure, and shows offline if it is not
- If the server's certificate is rejected, you are told it is a certificate problem, not that the server cannot be reached
- The connection panel shows the address in use, and whether the connection is secure
- The backup dialog's inspection counts follow the USB backup permission, so anyone allowed to take a backup can see what it holds
Synchronization
- An address written with
https://is used as written. The unit used to ignore that part - If the unit has to use another server address, it comes back to the paired one as soon as that address is reachable again
Fixes
- Backups write again on Windows. A colon in the unit's identifier made every backup file impossible to copy to the drive
- The sign-in screen no longer shows "Authentication is required" when a probe is connected
- The hardware panel shows the probe's settings the first time you open it after sign-in, instead of "No probe configuration available"
- Shutting down waits for work that is still finishing, so the unit's data is not left half-written
- A unit that would not start after updating now starts
- A factory reset that clears preferences no longer risks crashing the unit
- Measurements, the hardware panel and the files saved when a measurement fails name the library versions this unit was built with
Languages
- The Pictures and Edit Picture screens are translated
- The Close Inspection dialog shows a translated Yesterday
- Backup and restore progress names every stage in every language
- Errors on the unit's own screen are translated. They used to show as a code
- Three sign-in errors said "device owner" or "device setup"; they now say unit owner and unit setup in every language
- The title bar names the signed-in unit owner, guest or user in every language; it showed "Local Owner" in English everywhere

EXE • 28.55 MB
Security
- The unit now records audit events: signing in and out and failed sign-ins, owner-password and guest-access changes, credential packages imported and removed, backups taken and restored, inspections sealed, exported or cleared, pairing and server-connection changes, upgrades, first-run setup and factory reset
- They follow the same convention as the server's, so a unit's record reads the same way as the server's when you search it. A failed sign-in names nobody and records the username that was tried
- Audit events go to an audit log of their own, kept far longer than the application log — about a year, against thirty days — and read in the same log viewer, on the unit and from the server
- Audit events are recorded whatever the logging level is set to, so raising it to capture a problem no longer stops the unit recording who did what
- Nothing is sent anywhere new: a unit still forwards its logs nowhere
- The owner-password recovery limit now engages: three attempts per ten minutes. It was counted per connection address, which changes every time on a unit, so it never applied
- The owner password must be at least 8 characters, enforced by the unit and not only by the setup wizard
- Sign-in and re-authentication fields no longer invite browser autofill. A remark, not a control: browsers may ignore it
Fixes
- A unit that would not start after updating now starts. Units still holding export records for inspections deleted long ago failed a database upgrade on every launch; the upgrade clears those records first, and says in the log what it cleared
- A factory reset that clears preferences no longer risks crashing the unit as it runs. Old passwords are still scrubbed from the settings file
Languages
- The entry Pictures and Edit Picture screens are translated; they showed English in every language
- The Close Inspection dialog shows a translated Yesterday in place of a placeholder

UnisonAuditor-v0.10.4-x64.exe
EXE • 28.46 MB
Hardware
- When the board reports a fault, the hardware panel says why, with a short code you can quote to support
- Swapping the probe updates the grid to match the probe attached
Device Logs
- Device logs can be read in the app, not only downloaded — including installer, kiosk and older compressed logs
Inspections
- The inspection card shows a badge for locations never measured, as on the server
- A route merged from several templates no longer lists the same weld twice
- The info and close dialogs show how much of a multi-slot location was measured

Remote Log Access
- A server administrator can read this unit's logs from the server while it is online — application, installer, updater and kiosk-mode logs
Synchronization
- Inspections the server already has are no longer uploaded again when the confirmation was lost
- Brief server failures are retried; a duplicate the server will never accept is not
- Inspections that had stopped retrying start uploading again after this update
- An outdated unit is now told to upgrade when the server requires a newer app
Languages
- Turkish, English (UK) and Portuguese (Brazil) join the language picker
- Portuguese is now European, with Brazilian as its own choice
- Dates follow the app language, leftover English is translated, and a silent update no longer rewrites a Brazilian install as European Portuguese
Installer
- If the app is running under another Windows user or a remote desktop session, Setup stops and asks you to close it there, instead of promising to close it and failing later
Inspections
- Deleting several inspections reports how many succeeded when some cannot be deleted, instead of an "unexpected error"
- If a screen fails, the toolbar stays so you can navigate away
Measurement
- Improvements in signal processing: more stable backwall detection, and better readings when only part of the probe covers the weld

EXE • 28.15 MB
Measurement
- Welds close to the edge of a plate are now measured correctly — the part of the probe that overhangs the edge no longer distorts the surface fit, the nugget diameter, or the plate thickness.

UnisonAuditor-v0.10.1-x64.exe
EXE • 28.13 MB
Hardware
- Fixed a "Hardware communication error" that could get stuck until the app was restarted — the app now recovers on its own.
- The hardware panel now shows "Not available" with a Retry option when the status is unknown, instead of an outdated "Hardware Ready".
Auto-Setup
- Repeated auto-setup presses no longer start overlapping runs.
- A failed or interrupted auto-setup run now reports an error and keeps the previous configuration.
Messages
- Clearer error messages for internal service issues — no longer suggesting to check the network connection.

EXE • 28.12 MB
Welding
- Added support for Arplas and Projection weld types.
Measurement
- More accurate C-scan weld imaging — graded rendering of partially fused areas and fewer false indications.
- More robust echo detection on difficult welds, with steadier depth and thickness readings.
- Faster on-device signal processing.
Inspections
- Free-mode inspections can now grow on the fly — add more locations directly from the inspection screen without restarting, with names suggested automatically to continue your existing numbering.
- Locations tagged with more than one category (e.g. "Bonds;Welds") now display, count, and filter correctly — each category appears as its own badge and matches when you filter by any one of them.
- Live acquisition now stops cleanly when you leave the inspection screen, so the probe is no longer driven after you've moved on.
Synchronization
- Large inspection uploads now complete reliably over slow factory networks. Previously a fixed 30-second limit could cut off a big upload just before it finished — and then retry it endlessly; transfers now continue as long as data keeps moving, and only a genuinely stalled connection is abandoned.
- Smarter retries when the server is unreachable: retry spacing backs off gradually instead of re-sending large packages every minute, then recovers promptly once the connection is restored — including after a unit restart.
- Closing the app no longer waits on an in-progress upload — shutdown is immediate and the upload resumes on the next launch, without counting against the retry schedule.
Access Control
- Strengthened access controls on the unit — tighter enforcement of owner-password and role-based permissions.
Software Updates
- More reliable in-app upgrades — the app now relaunches cleanly after updating, and the background update service recovers automatically if a previous update was interrupted.
- Updates are now verified before they run — the unit checks that an installer comes from a trusted, signed source, requires the owner's approval for anything else, and protects the update files from tampering while the upgrade is in progress.
Hardware
- Installing or updating the app now automatically brings the connected board's firmware up to the required version — no separate flashing step.
Settings
- The factory-reset confirmation now clearly states that it will close the application (matching the power menu), instead of wording that could be mistaken for powering off the whole unit; the action itself is unchanged.
Diagnostics
- The unit now reports its app version to the server, making support investigations easier.
- The touch keyboard service is now detected correctly on newer Windows 11 builds, removing a false "not found" warning.
Language
- The log viewer and picture browser labels are now fully translated into every supported language.
- Improvements in translations.
Maintenance
- Dependency updates for improved security.

Inspections
- A confirmation step now appears when finalizing a decision that has no measurements, helping avoid accidentally recording a result without data
Error Messages
- Error messages are now translated into every supported language and shown consistently in dialogs and notifications, including problems reported by the server
Hardware
- More reliable recovery after the unit sleeps and wakes, so the acquisition hardware reconnects cleanly instead of staying unavailable
- General hardening of hardware communication for steadier behavior during long sessions
Sync
- Template downloads on slow or unreliable connections are more resilient, and an interrupted download no longer has to start over from the beginning
- Inspection uploads recover cleanly after re-pairing with the server, with a clearer status when the server no longer recognizes the unit
- Smoother behavior in general for large template syncs and inspection uploads on poor networks
Pairing
- Cancelling a pairing request from another window or device no longer leaves the app stuck waiting for approval — the state clears and a fresh pairing can be started right away
Diagnostics
- More useful information in the app's logs around sync attempts, making support investigations quicker
- Quieter logs during outages: repeated connection and hardware failures now record a single clear entry when the state changes, rather than one line per retry

- Start template-based inspections by scanning a part QR or barcode with a USB or Bluetooth keyboard-wedge scanner, in addition to the built-in camera
- External scanners are active automatically on the New Inspection screen with no setup required
Picture Customization
- Hotspot color, route-line color, and route-line opacity set per picture in a template now carry through to the inspection view

- Support for MP69B probes with mirrored mux-board configuration
- More reliable recovery from transient hardware glitches via device reset and re-enumeration
Inspections
- C-scan rendering now uses the correct spatial bias direction
Sync & Pairing
- A paired device no longer drops offline when the server reports a stale or wrong address — the address you paired with is kept, and any address is verified before the device switches to it
- If the server's address changes, a device that can still reach it follows the change automatically; if every known address is stale, re-pair once to the new address
- Clearer pairing error messages, including a clean app-version string when the server requires a newer app
- More reliable inspection upload: temporary network problems no longer cause sync to give up, and uploads resume automatically once the server is reachable
- Inspection sync resumes on its own after reconnecting or re-pairing — including uploads left over from a previous server — with no app restart needed
- New "Retry failed syncs" button in the server connection settings to clear stuck uploads on demand
Diagnostics
- USB export dialog now shows the real failure cause (drive full, device not ready, etc.) instead of a generic "Export failed" message
- Reduced routine log noise so customer-supplied logs are easier to read
Bug Fixes
- Owner password dialog closes with Escape and no longer hangs when reopened in quick succession
- Smoother remote-control key handling on the inspection screen

Bug Fixes
- Fixed Laser Weld (OD) mode not being applied when starting a template inspection — the inspection view was showing "Laser Weld" instead of "Laser Weld (OD)" and displaying thickness indicators instead of OD indicators
